Glass Replacement
We cut and replace glass on site. The types of glazing we use are regular glass, non-glare glass, UV glass, and plexi-glass. We can frame up to 48" x 60" with regular glass.
Regular glass is our most popular and affordable option. It is considered sufficient to protect the artwork that is not hanging in direct sunlight or under fluorescent lights for a prolonged time.
Non-glare glass is twice the cost of regular glass. The glass is etched to reduce the glare of light that may obstruct the view of the artwork. Non-glare glass is a little cloudy and may not be the best choice for all artwork.
UV - Protective Glass is an archival-quality glazing that promises to cut our about 98% of the ultraviolet rays that threaten to fade and yellow your artwork. UV glass is about four times the price of Regular Glass.
Plexiglas is lightweight and is virtually unbreakable. Although, it scratches easily and should be cleaned more often than glass. Avoid hanging acrylic in direct sunlight, as heat can cause it to warp.
